Boarding Facilities

Boarding Accommodation

  • Hessen International Day and Boarding School will be offering residential facilities to students from the age of 5 years. The Boarding Intake is kept small in order to have a family environment rather than a hostel atmosphere. The House Parents help students to experience a warm and caring atmosphere in a mixed cultural community. They are there to ensure that students are bathed, teeth are cleaned, lights are switched off at the right time and rooms are kept tidy, just like at home.

Admission

  • As our boarding intake is small, we must limit the number of students accepted for boarding. Therefore, the chance of acceptance to boarding is greater the earlier one applies. Those who still hope to get into boarding later, may still enroll as day students and they will be put on a waiting list for a boarding place. Students attending our day school are given priority to get a boarding place.

  • At Hessen International Day and Boarding School we are particularly pleased to welcome and cater for students from all parts of the world, of different cultures, beliefs and backgrounds.

Advantages of Boarding

  • Our boarding facilities give a chance to students who do not live within the range of any international school to be able to attend an international school.
  • Boarding offers an excellent opportunity for parents to settle children in one school.
  • There will be a supervised prep time for students to complete their home work. The house parents are always available to guide and comfort any students who might have problems.
  • Parents will be free to pick up their children after school on Fridays, so that they can spend quality time with them.
